Many of us have been stuck at one point or the other trying to figure out what our passions are. I have been in the same situation. So, you are not alone.

The journey of discovering your passion can be daunting, but with the right frame of mind, you can navigate through it and unravel your passion. Some people believe that finding their passionate is unrealistic. Thus, they end blocking their chances of discovering their passion.

Discovering your passion begins with the right mental attitude that doesn’t recognize impossibility, or doubt. Believe you are capable of what you set out to do in your life and that you can find what you are passionate about. This way, you are a halfway way to making this lifetime discovery.

2. Examine What You Love Doing

One of the easiest way towards discovering your passion, is through what you love doing. If you love reading books, for instance, it’s evident that your passion could be teaching, researching or writing. Dig out those things you love doing and try to figure out the one you have more interest in.

3. Consider What You Spend Your Free Time Doing

While your hobby may not be your passion, it’s a pointer that your passion may be hidden in your hobby. Where you spend your free time can provide a hint to your passion, because there’s a likelihood that you can spend more time developing and refining your your passion there. If you spend your free time drawing, for example, it’s sign that your passion maybe architecture or art.

4. Consider What You Invest Mostly Your Money On

What you spend your money can provide clue to what you are really passionate about. Check your credit card. Think of what consumes your money most. Do you spend your money, for instance, buying books? You can consider writing or teaching. That can be a pointer to your passion. Invest your time in developing and refining writing and teaching skills.

Instead of just relaxing and reminiscing of what your passion is, move out and try new things. Be adventurous. Who inspires you most? Who is your role model? Which part of his life inspire you most? The kind of people you admire their lives and career could be a hint to your passion. Do you love public speakers? Do you admire great leaders? Trying investing your time in developing public speaking skill. Your admiration of great leaders maybe a pointer that your passion maybe leadership.

7. Ask Questions

Asking close friends or family members who can be blunt in giving you an answer, can be a sure way to discovering your passion. Ask them to tell you what you are good at, and how it matches with your personality. This can help to unravel a hidden passion in you.

8. Be Open-minded

Open your mind to new ideas. Seek information regarding your passion. You can seek the help of a professional counselor to help you track your passion.

9. Examine Your Childhood Interest

We had various interest as children, but as we grow into adulthood, we tend to leave them as we try new things. Oftentimes, we get stuck along the way, not knowing what we want to do with our lives. It’s time to visit your childhood interests. It can be accessed into our life’s passion.

Knowing your interest can lead to discovering your passion, but an undeveloped passion is as good as nothing. Knowing your passion is not enough.
